So I woke up this morning at 3:15 then went back to bed at 5:30 and then woke up again at 7:30am. From the time that I got on the plane I feel like I have been in one long dream. The only way I know that I am not in a dream is because I can't speak Japanese fluently or fly.
For lunch today Keith, Buff, and I went to the Seikyo (student cafeteria) for lunch and ate with Teppei. As I was walking around everything was very familiar but I felt like I was still in a dream. Now as I write I am ready for a nap. Don't you love jet-lag. For all I know, I will fall asleep and then dream that I am in Japan but hopefully realize by my superpowers that it really is a dream.
I definitely feel overwhelmed with how much stuff I need to try and do over the next week to get settled in to my new living situation. I also need to figure out what to do about starting language school here in the next week or so.

If it makes you feel any better I'm up at 5:15 am EST and had been laying in bed, awake, since about 1:30 am, which meant I got about 2.5 hours of sleep! I don't think it's jet lag since I haven't gone anywhere, but I am going to blame it on the steroids the doctor gave me for my knee yesterday. Let's hope they don't do drug testing in church softball?
Alan! It's so great to hear that you made it to Japan safely. Sarah and I are so excited for you... we'll keep in touch and pray for you often.
I finally remembered to check this instead of wondering where an email from you was! According to UAL, your flight landed an hour late...how long will you use the jet lag excuse??? Love, MOM
Adam if they do drug testing at Kossuth that would be crazy. But who knows maybe they will make you do a drug test to go as staff?
