Time to Dump the Truck

Well, it has been a while since you heard from me. Not because of very little happening but because so much has been happening. Where should I begin?

I returned to America from May 9-26 and attended Ryan and Betsy Riley's wedding. The time spent with Ryan before the wedding was great. The wedding itself was a lot of fun. Betsy, you have a very kind and amazing family that made the wedding day very memorable.

I returned to Japan one week before the summer friends arrived. On June 1 Len, from IU; Martin, from U of I; Tom from Texas; Katie from PSU; and two edgers, Rachel and Nicole from Maryland, arrived to join our Utsunomiya team for two months. Since then we have been having a lot of fun with the students. Every Thursday night we are having a summer friend fun night, aka party, with the students.

So far this year, I have been encouraged by the freshman class. We have about 30 contacts even though some of them will probably not stay with BEST but join a different club. I think so far though we have about 15-20 regularly attending freshman to parties, sports, and Bible discussions.

I will put up some pictures from the recent times. Including Alan's Nature School in Gunma where we went hiking, canoing, and camping for a weekend.
