It is amazing to think that I have been in Japan for 8 months and the school year is about to come to a close. Students are starting to study for the final exams as there tests start on Feb 6. Seniors will graduate in March and the new set of Freshman will come in April.
But before we end this school year we have some presentations and discussions that we will do with the students here in BEST club. The first will be this Friday with a discussion on sex. This will be a huge opportunity to try and help these students as they do not receive many abstinence before marriage talks. Keith will be sharing this year and then we will break up into discussion groups to talk further. Please pray for Keith (and Bryan as he will translate) that the Spirit will guide him in the words to say and that the students hearts will be open to discussion.
We then have a huge topic coming up the next week on Evolution vs. Creation. From the time that students enter school, they are only taught one thing. Big Bang and Evolution. Mori has prepared a presentation and discussion that we will do. Please pray for Mori in his final preparation. Pray that God will give Mori the words to say and that the students will start to see the error within evolution.
Then in a few weeks comes my time on the Reliability of the Scriptures presentation. I started working on this last August and then it was put on hold and now I aim to be done with it by February 1 so that we can hopefully translate it and give it Feb 15. Please pray for me in diligence and guidance to what should be in it and what should be taken out. Please pray that the translation work will go smoothly and that the students eyes will be open to the most amazing and unique book in all the world.
